School visits are an important part of the Eagle Fire Department’s commitment to fire prevention, education, and building strong relationships with the community. Throughout the year, firefighters visit local schools to teach students valuable fire and life safety skills, including the importance of smoke alarms, creating and practicing home escape plans, calling 911, and knowing what to do during an emergency.
These visits provide students with the opportunity to interact with firefighters, ask questions, explore fire equipment, and learn that firefighters are trusted members of their community. Beyond fire safety education, our firefighters regularly connect with students through activities such as lunch and recess visits, helping build positive relationships and encouraging healthy choices, confidence, and a sense of community.
By bringing these lessons directly into the classroom, the Eagle Fire Department helps empower students with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe at home, at school, and beyond.
Guidelines:
Note: Crews remain in service, so school visits may be paused or rescheduled if emergency calls occur.
