The Operations Division is Eagle Fire's frontline response team, providing around-the-clock service to protect the community. Led by the Deputy Chief of Operations, the division inclues Three Battalion Chiefs and approximately 60 suppression personnel who respond to thousands of incidents each year, including fires, medical emergencies, recues, and other calls for service. Their work spans more than 92 square miles across the City of eagle and surrounding areas of Ada, Gem, and Boise counties.
The Operations Division oversees all emergency response activities, ensuring incidents are managed safely, efficiently, and effectively. Through the use of the Incident Command System (ICS), personnel coordinate resources, establish strategic objectives, and work alongside local, regional, state, and federal partners to provide seamless emergency response during incidents of all sizes.

The Operations Division provides direction and supervision for all line personnel, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Officers mentor firefighters, manage daily station operations, and ensure crews are prepared to serve the community with integrity and excellence.

The Operations Division emphasizes ongoing training and professional development to maintain proficiency in fire suppression, emergency medical services, technical rescue, hazardous materials response, wildland firefighting, and incident command. Daily training, drills, and scenario-based exercises help ensure personnel remain ready to respond safely and effectively.
The Operations Division develops strategies, procedures, and response plans that enhance emergency preparedness and operational effectiveness. This includes pre-incident planning, response deployment strategies, special event planning, and coordination with partner agencies to ensure the department is prepared for both routine emergencies and large-scale incidents.
